Through public programs, student scholarships, research and program funding, visiting scholars, and other projects, we strive to enhance the work of the university.

News and Announcements
- Submissions for the 2022 Evans Biography Awards are now being accepted. Biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, or family histories with a first published date of 2020 or 2021 are eligible. Deadline: February 15, 2022.
- Save the date for the 2021 Mountain West Center-Evans Biography Awards Writers' Workshop for Auto/Biography. This one day workshop will be held on October 23, 2021 in Salt Lake City.
- Watch the 2020 Evans Biography Awards Ceremony. Evelyn Funda, past director of the Mountain West Center, presents the Evans Biography Award and the Evans Handcart Award to winning authors, James R. Swenson and Tara Westover. Listen to the authors as they explore their work and the importance of highlighting individuals who have shaped the Intermountain West region.
