Evans Awards for Biographies Published in 2009-2010 Announced

The Evans Biography and Handcart Awards have been announced for books published in 2009 and 2010.

The winner of the Evans Biography Award is Matthew J. Grow for his "Liberty to the Downtrodden": Thomas L. Kane, Romantic Reformer, published in 2009 by Yale University Press.

The Evans Handcart Award will go to Ronald G. Watt for The Mormon Passage of George D. Watt: First British Convert, Scribe for Zion, published by Utah State University Press in 2009.

The winners will come to the USU campus for the awards ceremony to be held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Alumni House.
